An integrated kanji dictionary is available as well, with searches by nearly every possible kanji lookup method. The main site in Australia may be slow so try these mirrors at the U. of Virginia and the U. of Hawai`i.

- Basic Terms of Shinto: An exposition on selected vocabulary in Shinto, the native religion of Japan. It is intended to explain terminology that is not easily translated into other languages, or that does not relate obviously to other religious systems.
- Kami no Michi - Online book, "The Life and Thought of a Shinto Priest". Even though most Japanese people claim to be either nonreligious, Buddhist, or affiliated with Christianity or some new religion, nearly all Japanese people maintain certain Shinto beliefs and practices. Understanding Shinto is crucial to understanding many otherwise confusing aspects of Japanese culture. Unfortunately there is little popular material on Shinto in English. This book fills that particular gap.
